The Ten Most Popular Foreign Languages in Great Britain

According to Nikkei Shimbun, dated 26 November 2013, the ten most popular foreign languages learnt in the Great Britain follow this descending order:  Spanish, Arabic, French, Chinese, German, Portugal, Italian, Russian, Turkish, and Japanese.  This information is based on a report submitted by the British Council. Japanese is chosen mainly for its economic benefits, according to the report.

The article also mentioned Japanese words that have become a part of the English language. Some examples are kimono, samurai, geisha, and kamikaze.
